Margaret Gold

Margaret Gold, age 86 of Osage Beach, Mo. passed away Monday, May 7, 2012 at the Lakeside Meadows in Osage Beach, Mo. She was born April 25, 1926 in St. Louis, Mo. the daughter of Lonnie A.B. and Margaret Dittman Leslie, both of whom preceded her in death. Margaret was united in marriage on May 1, 1948 in Russellville, Mo. to Marvin I. Gold who also preceded her in death in 1996. Margaret and Marvin lived in several places across the country including Jefferson City, Mo., Columbia, Mo., St. Louis, Mo., Los Angeles, Ca., and retired at the Lake of the Ozarks, Mo. after Marvin retired from advertising She worked as a Secretary in the Missouri State Capital after Junior College in Jefferson City, worked as a receptionist for family friend, Dr. E.L. Slaughter, D.O. in St. Louis in the 1950’s and 1960’s. Margaret was also a member and officer of National Osteopathic Guild Assn. and St. Louis branch at Normandy Osteopathic Hospital in St. Louis. Margaret and her husband enjoyed new and old friends, collecting antiques and traveling. She is survived by one son; David L. Gold of Columbia, Mo. along with many friends and relatives, she will be sadly missed. A private graveside service was held on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at the Enloe Cemetery in Russellville, Mo. Robert Luther Proctor

 

 

Robert Luther Proctor, age 81, a 46-year resident of Fort Mohave, Ariz. entered into rest on March 27, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born August 23, 1930 in Jefferson City, Mo. the son of Robert Luther and Osie Enloe Proctor, both of whom preceded him in death. He came to the area from Jefferson City in the early 1940’s and spent some time in Bullhead City before moving to Phoenix. Robert married Rose Gielniak in Olean, Mo. on May 23, 1952 and they would have celebrated their 60th anniversary next month. In 1965, Robert returned to the area he enjoyed so much and pursued his love of fishing for striped bass on the Colorado River. He also had a great love for animals and he enjoyed spending time with his donkeys at his home. He was a history buff and especially enjoyed local and Western History. After more than 60 years, he retired from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He served his country in the United States Army. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Rose of Fort Mohave, Arizona.; one daughter; Linda Bolduc of Sunapee, New Hampshire; two sisters; Mary Lou Espinosa of Mesa, Arizona; and Ruby Helen (Bee) Enowski of Lake Ozark, Mo.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death along with his parents by one son, Robert in 2001. Visitation will be held Saturday, April 7, 2012 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. followed by the Funeral Service at 4:00 p.m. at the Weber Funeral Home in Russellville, Mo. with Bro. Michael Wayne Strobel

 

Michael Wayne Strobel, age 33, of Russellville, Mo. passed away Friday, March 23, 2012 in Cole county. He was born March 30, 1978 in Columbia, Mo., the son of Kenny and Vonnie Gleason Strobel, of Russellville, Mo. Michael graduated from Russellville High School, and was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Russellville, Mo. Michael enjoyed working on cars and motorcycles, and hunting, but most of all he loved spending time with family and friends, he will be sadly missed. Survivors include: his parents, Kenny and Vonnie Strobel.; two sons; Johnathan and Bentlee Strobel.; and one daughter; Shelby Strobel, all of the home.; one sister; Lisa Smith, with her husband Dirk and their son Jackson of Holts Summit, Mo.; maternal grandmother; Roberta Gleason,; along with several aunts, uncles and multiple cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Pete Gleason, Josie and Rudolph Strobel. Visitation will be Saturday, March 31, 2012 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. with the Memorial Service to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Alan Earls officiating. Glen W. Ferrin

 

 

Glen Ferrin, age 92, of Brazito, Mo. passed away March 25, 2012 at Oak Tree Villa Nursing Home in Jefferson City, Mo. Glen was born September 27 1919, in Lohrville, Iowa, the son of Calvin and Ethel Gates Ferrin, both of whom preceded him in death. He attended school at East Prairie School near Barnett, Mo. He joined the United States Army in May of 1942. He was deployed and served 13 months in Europe with the Post Battalion during World War II. Glen was on a thirteen man mission on the Rhine assisting in a crossing near Wesel, Germany. For this mission, Glen received the Bronze Star. From May of 1944 to June of 1945 he was assigned to the 339th TC Harbor Craft Company out of Camp Gordon Johnston, Florida. June of 1944 he landed at Grennock, Scotland and moved on to Plymouth, England. From November of 1944 to June of 1945, he was stationed in Antwerp, Belgium. In addition to the Bronze Star, other decorations included the American Theatre Campaign Ribbon, European African Middle Eastern Theatre Ribbon, two over-seas service bars, and the Victory Ribbon. He also received a marksman medal. Glen was honorably discharged December 9, 1945. He returned home to Barnett, Mo. He met Mary Margaret Tedford and on October 27, 1946 they were married at the Methodist Church in Versailles, Mo. Glen worked for General Motors in Kansas City, Mo., Sheffield Steel in Kansas City, International Shoe Company in Jefferson City, Mo. and was a life long farmer. He was a member of the Hickory Hill Baptist Church in Eugene, Mo. where he was baptized November of 1955. Glen was a member of the American Legion Post 104, Versailles, Mo. Glen enjoyed dancing and fishing, but most of all he loved spending time with family and friends, he will be sadly missed. Survivors include: Wife Mary of the home.; one daughter; Sue Hoskins, with her husband Wilburn of Henley, Mo.; two sons; Gerald Ferrin, with his wife Shirley of Eugene, Mo.; and Richard Ferrin of Bunker Hill, In.; twelve Grandchildren,; fourteen Great-Grandchildren,; and two Great Great-Grandchildren.; one brother; Bob Ferrin of Warsaw, Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Glen was preceded in death along with his parents, one half sister Josephine Hook, one half brother Russell Ferrin, one sister Helen Smith, and one brother Floyd Ferrin. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Hickory Hill Baptist Church from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with the Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Clyde Leonard officiating. Michael D. Pevehouse

 

Michael D. Pevehouse, age 44, of Russellville, Mo. passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at his home. He was born April 12, 1967 in Muskogee, Oklahoma the son of Clyde and Lois Hudson both of whom preceded him in death, his adoptive parents William (Bill) and Janell O’neil Pevehouse Wood. who also preceded him in death. Michael was united in marriage on April 10, 2004 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas to Sheila Hodler who survives of the home. He owned and operated All type water proofing in Russellville, Mo. Michael enjoyed taking family trips to Branson, fishing and Barbequing, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with family and friends and dogs, he will be sadly missed. Survivors include: his wife Sheila of the home;, one son; Brett Hodler, with his wife Michelle of Clarksburg, Mo.; three daughters; Jessica Pevehouse of Knoxville, Iowa.; Crystal Hodler of Russellville, Mo.; and Ashlee Hodler, with her fiancé Justin Michels of Russellville, Mo.; two brother; Jeff Hudson, with his wife Wanda of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.; Ricky Marlow of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.; one sister; Kayla Hudson of Muskogee, Oklahoma.; step father; Robert Wood of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.; and three grandchildren; Logan Gipson, Addison Hodler and Hunter Newland.; Michael was preceded in death along with his parents, by one brother, Ronnie Marlow. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 18th. 2012 from 10:00 to 11:00 am. With the Funeral service to follow at 11:00 am at the Weber Funeral Home in Russellville, Mo, the Rev.
